Every year, the Chantilly Little League Baseball Board holds elections in support our community’s baseball activities. This coming year several key positions will be available creating an opportunity for your involvement. With few exceptions, the qualifications for these positions only require a desire to help. Baseball expertise is not a prerequisite. Positions opening this coming year include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Information Officer – Handles web site updates and baseball registration
2. Safety Officer – Develops safety plans and ensures safety related concerns are addressed. 3. Chief of Maintenance – Oversees all field maintenance programs. Acts as contact for Fairfax County on field related issues. 4. Fund Raising – Works with and recruits sponsors and leads fund raising programs to sustain and grow revenues. 5. Treasurer – A person with an accounting background will keep the ledger and budget for the baseball program. This person will also interface with the treasurer of the CYA Board. The next Chantilly Little League baseball board meeting will be Monday August 16, 7:45 PM at 4501 Singer Court, Suite 220, Chantilly, VA . As is the case with all of our board meetings, it is open to the public. We would encourage attendance should you be interested. So, if you’ve ever thought a different way of accomplishing things, or you’ve noticed some issues and have an opinion, there is no better to way to affect change then by getting involved. Being a volunteer organization the involvement of the community is essential to our continued success. Please contact Russell Brodsky at
